Submission for the first BCS Game Jam.
Controls: just your mouse and left click.
Here is how to play:
Summoning Phase
at the start of each players turn the player gets an amount of energy and this energy can be consumed by:
- drawing colours
- mixing colours with the opponents cards
- swapping cards in the battlefield
produced by:
- sacrificing colours for half an energy
during your turn you can also:
- send colours to the battle
- mix your own colours
once you are happy with your setup you can click the battle button to begin battle phase (NOTE: leftover energy carries over to the next turn, when you summon a colour to the battle it cannot be taken back)
Battle Phase
(NOTE: there is no battle for the first person to play's first turn)
On your battle phase, all of your cards go one by one and attack, if there is no colour blocking then you deal damage to the player. Here is some information about your colours:
- Hue - The hue of your colour and the opponents card determines how effective the damage was. if the opponents card is 120 degrees anti clockwise of your card does no damage, if you're the same colour it does normal damage and if its 120 degrees clockwise it does double damage. Additionally if they are on opposite side they are complementary and it will heal the opponent colour for half damage.
- Value - the value or brightness of a colour is its health. once it turns black that card is destroyed. A full health card should be able to withstand 3 normal attacks.
- Saturation - the saturation of the colour is how much energy it has. Attacking will consume energy and once the card turns white it will stop attacking. (from a full saturation you get 3 attacks before you run out also you only cant attack when your saturation hits 0, if you have a tiny bit you can still attack).
At the end of battle phase you get 3 energy but, if you defeat a colour your opponent gets 1 bonus energy and you get 1 point. After that the opponent get's their summoning and battle phase and the cycle keeps going till either player loses all their health or one player gets 10 points.
Currently in alpha so it's very buggy. More of just a proof of concept
